Siniša Koprivnjak: Pioneering Croatian Digital Artist Bridging Earth, Code, and Cosmos.

Siniša Koprivnjak is a renowned Croatian multimedia and digital artist based in Zagreb, celebrated for his groundbreaking work at the intersection of 3D design, AI systems, sound, and conceptual art. Initially drawn to music—specifically the electric guitar at age 12, which his creative journey began in sound and gradually expanded into filmmaking, graphic design, and, ultimately, advanced digital and generative art.

Driven by what he calls an obsession “to break through the veil,” Koprivnjak explores themes rooted in metaphysical inquiry, edge states, and the tension between chaos and order. With over 25 years of experience across disciplines including sound design, cinematography, live visuals, and 3D animation, he maintains a cohesive conceptual vision throughout his diverse body of work.

His artistic practice combines digital tools such as Blender, ZBrush, Adobe After Effects, AI-based generative systems, Pro Tools, and photography. Central to his work are recurring motifs of human connectivity, existential consciousness, and spiritual transformation. Koprivnjak often integrates biological elements—genetic strands, breath, seeds—into his digital environments, exploring the interplay between organic symbolism and synthetic systems.

Koprivnjak gained international recognition through his contributions to the NFT art movement. His work has been featured on platforms like MakersPlace (San Francisco), aliginig nim with top american multimedia arists, and displayed on Times Square during New York Fashion Week. He has exhibited at prestigious events and venues, including Art Basel Miami, and in cities such as Tokyo, Hong Kong, Basel, London, Paris, Dubai, Monte Carlo, and throughout Australia. In 2024, his work was selected for a high-profile collaboration with Beeple during a U.S. election night event hosted in Beeple’s studio.

One of his most ambitious projects to date was Watchers, commissioned as part of a 90-piece NFT collection for the Turbo Toad cryptocurrency campaign. In a landmark moment, the piece was launched into the stratosphere via a high-altitude climate balloon, reaching 35,000 meters. This marked the highest-altitude independent art exhibition ever and the first Croatian artwork presented in near-space.

In January 2025, Koprivnjak achieved another milestone with Pulled Toward Connection, a conceptual artwork embedding genetic strands and plant seeds. It was launched to the Moon aboard Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost lander, in collaboration with NASA and SpaceX. As part of the MoonMars program, the work became the first Croatian artwork sent toward the Moon—and potentially the first from the Balkans included in a lunar-bound art initiative.
