Riccardo Mucelli is a Senior 3D Designer with over 15 years of experience in the field of 3D design and motion graphics.
His journey into the world of art and design began at the Institute of Art in Florence, where he cultivated a deep passion for art and creativity. The positive influence of his parents, both artists, contributed to shaping his artistic sensibility from a young age.
A pivotal moment in his journey was the award of a prestigious scholarship to the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) in the United States. There, he specialized in Motion Graphics and delved into the study of 3D software, marking a significant period of personal and professional growth.
Subsequently, embarking on a freelance career, he collaborated with studios and advertising agencies in Italy, Spain, and China, contributing to the production of various advertising videos and creative content.
Highlights of his career include creating Bumpers for the OFFF FESTIVAL in 2013 and producing a short film for ENI during the Spoleto Festival in the same year. Additionally, he collaborated with prestigious brands such as FIAT, creating innovative visual content showcased at the Frankfurt Auto Show.
In 2016, Mucelli took a new direction by moving to Spain, working with and for renowned studios and advertising agencies on TV series for platforms like Netflix.
During the same period, he contributed to the creation of 3D video installations for prestigious museums, including the exhibition "Goya y Buñuel - Los sueños de la razón" in Zaragoza and "Day and Night" at the Thyssen Museum in Madrid. Additionally, he actively participated in the establishment of the Atturaif Living Museum in Saudi Arabia.
His passion and dedication to his work were recognized with four awards for the best animation in 2018 in New York, Milan, Berlin, and Tenerife, as well as official selections at major events such as the David di Donatello Award.
In 2018, his work was exhibited at the Museum of The Moving Image in New York City, representing a culmination in his career. In 2021, he participated in the "WE ARE THE ROBOTS" exhibition in Italy alongside acclaimed artists like Zerocalcare, exploring new creative challenges and showcasing his talent in a unique context.
