Open Call — Exhibition Program, New York City

September 25–27, 2026 | During The Armory Show week

 


 

1. Open Call — Overview

The Exhibition Program invites international artists, designers, and creatives to submit their works for a curated selection to be presented on mega LED billboards in the heart of New York City.

Selected works will be showcased in full-screen digital format, offering significant international visibility during one of the most important moments in the global contemporary art scene.

The open call is open to all living artists, without limitations regarding age, gender, nationality, or ethnic origin.

 

Eligible submissions include:

  • Digital art

  • Digital design

  • Painting

  • Drawing

  • Printmaking

  • Photography

  • Mixed media

  • Any two-dimensional artwork created using traditional or digital techniques

There are no restrictions regarding size, technique, or year of creation of the work.

 


 

2. Participation Guidelines

Participation is exclusively via the official application form:

Artists may choose one of the following application options:

 

Standard Application — 1 Artwork (€35)

  • Upload of one high-resolution artwork

  • Evaluation of the work by the Curatorial Committee

  • Evaluation of the artist’s biography, social media profiles, and website by the Curatorial Committee

  • Publication of the artwork on official social media channels:

    • Instagram

    • X

    • TikTok

 

Premium Application — 3 Artworks (€50)

  • Upload of up to 3 high-resolution artworks

  • Evaluation of the works by the Curatorial Committee

  • Evaluation of the artist’s biography, social media profiles, and website by the Curatorial Committee

  • Publication of the artworks on official social media channels:

    • Instagram

    • X

    • TikTok

 

Application fees are intended exclusively to cover administrative, curatorial, and promotional activities related to the open call.

Unlike the standard promotional and marketing activities developed by Art Innovation, selected artists participating in this exhibition program through the open call will not be required to bear any additional marketing, representation, or promotional costs beyond the initial application fee, as the main costs of the initiative will be directly covered by the organization.

 


 

3. Artist Selection

A total of 40 artists will be selected, divided as follows:

  • 30 artists selected directly by the Curatorial Committee based on:

    • Artistic quality

    • Originality

    • Conceptual coherence

    • Visual impact

    • Relevance to contemporary artistic research

 

  • 10 artists selected through public digital engagement, determined by the total number of interactions received on the program’s official social channels.

Digital Selection System (ENGAGEMENT SCORE)
For the selection of the 10 engagement-based artists, a cumulative total interaction scoring system will be applied.

 

Only the following will be considered:

  • Likes

  • Shares / Reposts

 

Interactions will be counted across:

  • Instagram

  • X (Twitter)

  • TikTok

 

Final Calculation Method
The total score of each artist will be determined by the sum of all interactions across platforms:
Instagram (likes + shares)
X (likes + reposts)
TikTok (likes + shares)
= TOTAL ENGAGEMENT SCORE

 

The counting will take place on September 10, 2026.

 

Final Selection Rule
The 10 artists with the highest total engagement score will be selected for participation in the exhibition program.

The organization reserves the right to verify the authenticity of interactions and exclude fraudulent or automated activity.

 


 

4. Curatorial Criteria & Jury

Members of the Curatorial Committee will be announced shortly.

 

Works and applications will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

  • Innovation and contemporary artistic research

  • Ability to engage with urban and digital space

  • Communicative strength in billboard format

  • Conceptual and visual impact

  • Relevance within the contemporary international art context

  • Quality and coherence of the artist’s CV, including exhibition history, awards, collaborations, and professional trajectory

 

All curatorial decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

 


 

5. Value of the Exhibition Program

The program represents a major international visibility opportunity and includes:

  • Presentation on iconic mega LED billboards in Times Square

  • International media exposure

  • Marketing and communication activities

  • Promotion through digital channels and global networks

  • Inclusion in a high-tech exhibition project during one of the key international contemporary art weeks

  • Inclusion of selected artists in the upcoming publication Creativa AI Book

Art Innovation is a company providing marketing, communication, and international promotion services in the artistic and creative sector.

This open call represents an additional curatorial project allowing artists to participate in an international exhibition with the main costs of the initiative directly covered by the company.

  • Project updates

  • Marketing and promotional activities

IMPORTANT — NO COSTS FOR SELECTED ARTISTS

Selected artists will not bear any additional costs.

Participation in the exhibition program is fully covered by the organization and includes:

  • Billboard exhibition

  • Technical production and management

  • Promotion and communication

  • Photo and video documentation

8. Exhibition

Works will be displayed on mega LED screens in Times Square from September 25 to 27, 2026.

9. Copyright & Rights

Artists retain full rights to their works.

 


 

10. Liability

The organization may modify the program due to external circumstances.

 


 

11. Acceptance

Participation implies full acceptance of these rules and regulations.
