SOLONLY is a Graphic & 3D Designer based in Arlington, Texas, originally from Amarillo. His creative journey began early, at the age of 10, crafting custom banners and backgrounds for his Xanga blog, where he first discovered the power of visual storytelling. What started as a hobby through elementary to high school led him to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication from the University of Texas at Arlington, where he honed his skills, gained hands-on experience through design internships, and built connections with fellow artists.
In a time of self-discovery, SOLONLY became the Instagram alias he created to explore his most authentic artistic voice. Blending self-taught skills in Blender with a solid foundation in graphic design, this experimental platform allows him to push creative boundaries with freedom and depth. His work draws from the vibrant, optimistic aesthetics of the early 2000s, reimagined through a bold, maximalist approach that features experimental typography, striking illustrations, and intricate 3D elements. His designs often incorporate angular typefaces that convey speed and momentum, shiny chrome 3D forms, and Manga-inspired character illustrations composed in a balanced grid structure he describes as “organized chaos.”
Beyond the visuals, he infuses his work with introspective, almost journal-like themes that reinterpret the optimism of his early 2000s childhood through a contemporary lens. SOLONLY’s work invites viewers to explore a depth of emotion that feels both personal and universal—a genuine, ongoing exploration of self-expression through design.
