Haley Tippmann’s work is rooted in observation and the everyday. She is drawn to ordinary moments: people sitting in cafés, crowded tables, interiors, street scenes, food, objects, and the small interactions that often go unnoticed.

Her work combines loose, expressive linework with bold shapes and playful, sometimes unexpected color. Rather than aiming for perfect realism, she focuses on capturing the feeling and personality of a moment. Many of her works begin with sketches made from life, photographs, memories, or scenes encountered while traveling and moving through daily life.

There is a sense of spontaneity throughout her work, with imperfections and unusual proportions becoming part of the visual language. Through these observations, Tippmann turns familiar scenes into colorful records of contemporary everyday life.
