The Body Remains is a transdisciplinary digital dance work integrating choreography, motion capture, and experimental 3D animation to explore the evolving relationship between embodiment, memory, and digital space. Rooted in the belief that the human body is the original technology, the work investigates how movement can persist beyond physical presence as animated traces and evolving digital forms. As the dancer's movement is translated into layered virtual embodiments, physical and digital realities begin to converge, blurring the boundaries between presence and absence, permanence and impermanence. Rather than treating technology as a substitute for the body, The Body Remains positions digital media as an extension of embodied experience, amplifying the expressive potential of human movement. Through the interplay of choreography, motion capture, and experimental 3D animation, the work asks what remains after movement ends, revealing how the body continues to exist as memory, data, and evolving presence.
